Emerald Green Skirt and Classic Black Blouse
Long green pleated skirts have been blowing up my Instagram feed as of late. I saw a few bloggers rocking them during NYFW so obviously I had to have one as a good chunk of my closet is green and I love the colour. This Emerald green skirt from Zara gives me such Canadian vibes as it reminds me of all of the beautiful variations of the pine tree. The colour reminds me of fall & winter which is why it's a perfect colour choice for the changing seasons. The skirt has a beautiful sheen to it and is made of a thick quality material.
I paired it with a satin black wrap blouse, also from Zara. I love the fit and cut of this top, it has a bit of ruching at the shoulder which gives it a slight 80's vibe without being too retro. Because it's a wrap it does have a tie on the side but I styled this look with an oversized wide vintage gold and black belt which covers that. I actually have a decent sized vintage belt collection, I am obsessed with guady, large statement belts. Especially when they are $10 and under at the thrift store.
I feel like my accessories really took this look to the next level. For jewellery I am rocking two layered gold coin necklace from baboon jewellery, which I have been wearing non-stop ever since I bought them. I'm also wearing some vintage gold earrings and my new Melanie Auld Double Band Ring in Moonstone/Gold which my boyfriend gave to me for my birthday. I am SO in love with this ring.
The bag, an all black, faux fur & leather bag from Aldo is another amazing recent find. The faux fur is so soft and again, perfect for Fall/Winter, plus the all-black hardware goes with everything. Overall, this is one of my favourite looks on the blog! Hope you enjoy. - Paige
