New Year, New Scent

I know what you're thinking... Salvatore Ferragamo? New perfume, who dis? I had the same thought when I decided to choose Signorina Misteriosa as my new scent of 2018.  Clearly I live under a rock, because Salvatore Ferragamo is an Italian luxury goods company established in 1927.  I have always been drawn to popular brand name perfumes such as Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang or Prada or you know, Britney Spears when I was on a budget (don't even try and tell me BS Hidden Fantasy is not amazing).  Now I know better.  Test everything, no matter the brand or bottle until you find the right scent.

My last perfume purchase was Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb, which is an incredible scent, but everyone and their second cousin is wearing it at the moment, therefore I wanted to find a new unique scent that would stand out from the crowd!  This perfume only has 4 reviews on Sephora. Can you say indie?

This past weekend I spend a solid 45 minutes in the perfume section of Sephora testing every popular perfume out there and I was underwhelmed by all of them until I came across the Salvatore Ferragamo perfumes.  All four smelt fantastic and I had a hard time choosing between Misteriosa and In Fiore which is more of a traditional floral scent.  Let me tell ya, I got some dirty looks as I toured around Sephora smelling my wrists every 5 seconds trying to decide between the two.  I decided on Misteriosa, but I also fell in love with In Fiore, so I'll probably pick it up for summer.

Signorina Misteriosa is described as "chic silky nuances of orange blossom intertwine with the opulent sensuality of tuberose, casting a subtly seductive spell."  Writing perfume descriptions is an absolute ART!

Notes:  Wild Blackberry, Neroli, Orange Blossom, Tuberose, Black Vanilla Mousse, Patchouli.
Style:  Alternative. Unpredictable. Eclectic.

Also, fun fact, Signorina means unmarried woman, LOL, so yeah that also describes me pretty well.

After purchasing and looking at the notes, I can see why I love this perfume.  It has a few overlapping notes with Flowerbomb such as Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Patchouli.  I absolutely love the scent of spicy vanilla.  Pretty much every candle in my house has a vanilla base.  This warm and spicy scent is a pleasure to put on in the morning, especially since we're having a bone-chilling winter right now.  It elevates my mood and makes me feel sexy.  The packaging is really beautiful and luxurious looking, black and rose gold with a ribbon accent.  I can't wait to rock this scent all winter long!  What are your favourite scents?
